As a charity, K4C does not aim to make any profit from running student placements. We keep the costs as low as possible and 100% of any surplus is invested in our charitable projects and activities. From the amount you pay to us we sustainably invest:
A minimum of £200 per student per month of placement (along with any other surplus generated) into the facilities and organisations that host you, for example, by providing essential equipment, infrastructure and training for local staff.
A minimum of £300 per student per month of placement into our professional volunteers and clinical staff who (as well as providing you with excellent supervision) have a hugely positive impact on local facilities and their staff and patients by providing training, mentoring and co-working.
By completing a placement with us, you are directly supporting some of the most vulnerable and dis-empowered communities in the world!
We will ask you to transfer a deposit of £395 as soon as possible to enable us to book your flights. The remainder of your placement costs can be paid later, although the full payment must be received no later than 1 month before you fly.
We warmly welcome students from outside of the UK - please contact us for more information on costs, as these are negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
