Funding and Bursary Opportunities
We understand that funding an international elective placement can be expensive. Most universities have their own travel funding available to support students, so we advise that you start by asking your international offices, placement managers and personal tutors. In particular, you should ask about the 'Turing Scheme' which several Universities have successfully applied for. External funding can also be found by asking friends, colleagues, tutors or searching the internet. We will share a helpful list of available bursaries (just ask!) and are happy to support students with fundraising and crowdfunding initiatives.
From time to time we are able to offer our own bursaries of up to £1000 to students to support placement costs. We will let you know if any are available at the time of your placement and if you are eligible to apply.
If you have any questions or concerns about your placement costs, please contact us and we can discuss funding opportunities and flexible payment options.
