Derrick Bahandagira

Nurse

Derrick is a nurse who qualified in 2020 from Kampala international university. He has been working at Kasusu health centre in the outpatient department focusing on wound care. He is now using these skills with Knowledge for Change at Buhinga hospital. Derrick enjoys providing compassionate care to patients by using his excellent communication skills. He is proud to be a male nurse in Uganda.

Outside of nursing Derrick is passionate about climate change and has been involved in a campaign to plant 1million trees in Uganda. He also likes reading, sports and learning new things.
